Life Story for Albert Lee Williams Sr.

Albert Lee Williams Sr.
On October 2, 1953, in the city of Jacksonville, FL, Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Ruby Lee Burney Williams, Jr., were blessed with the arrival of their tenth and eleventh children, twin boys, Albert Lee and his brother Alfred Lee. Albert Lee, affectionately called Peter, was reared with his thirteen siblings in a home of love and affection. The family attended West Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. Richard Wilson, where Albert and Alfred accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior at the age of seven and were baptized.

Educated in the Duval County Public Schools, Albert received training in pipe construction at the Technical High School, which afforded him the skills to become a valued employee with the Jax Utilities Management Company for forty-seven dedicated years of service. Although his manner was gruff, he had a big heart, loved his family and was a good provider for his children.

Albert Lee Williams, Sr., passed away on this Fourth of July, Independence Day, where he was freed from the confines of this earthly flesh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Williams, Jr.; wife, Mary Williams; and siblings, Annette Warren, Gilford Williams, Ronald James Williams, Willie Williams III and Akbar Waalee (Alfonza Williams).

Cherished memories will be shared by his loved ones: his sons, Albert Lee Williams, Jr., Willie Lee Williams (their mother, Juanietha Smith) and Christopher Parsons; daughter, Allison Galloway; step-children, Mark Hobdy, Joseph Hobdy, Salama Hobdy and Lavonne Smith; devoted friend, Pamela Williams DeCosta; grandchildren, Bailey Bolden, Olivia Parsons, Amelia Parsons, Zylah Eldam, Vadarius Williams, Syterius Williams, Albert Lee Williams III, Daijah Lesay Williams, Kaimya Williams, Ja’nae Williams, Viktor Newbill, Alexander Newbill, Kiren Newbill, Ariana Newbill and Frank Smith; sisters, Mother Betty Ingram, Ruby Solomon (Isaiah), Diane Williams, Faye Williams and Kathy Williams; brothers, Alfred L. Williams, Reginald Williams and Bruce Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, to include the owners and co-workers of Jacksonville Utilities Management Co.
