Life Story for Annie Mae Blunt Oliver

Annie Mae Blunt Oliver was born on January 19, 1925, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Reverend and Mrs. Samuel and Addie Blunt. She received Christ at a young age and was baptized into the faith by her father. Raised in a loving home, she received her formal education through the local schools of Duval County.
The skills that Annie Mae acquired through the training of her mother prepared her for employment in the domestic field. As a young lady she began her lifelong career as a domestic housekeeper in high demand. Annie Mae, affectionately called “Sister,” met and married Ezekiel Oliver, and to this union four children were born, two girls and two boys.
Later in life, Sister Oliver united with First Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Homer Lindsey, where she worshiped for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Blunt; her husband, Ezekiel Oliver; sons, Charles Oliver, Sr., and Robert Ripley; grandson, Bishop Clarence Baker, Jr.; and granddaughter, Annette Oliver.

She leaves to treasure her legacy loving daughters, Connie Oliver-Baker and Geraldine Oliver-Thomas (Thomas); grandchildren, Sharon Baker-Pitchford, Phyllis Baker, Evangelist Kimberly Baker-Daise (Lester), Canaan Baker, Charles Oliver, Jr. (Janice), Felicia Ripley and Averice Ripley; great-grands, Claron Baker-Walker (Lasalle), Ronisha Joseph, Keith Joseph, Corey Horace and Brian Daise; great great grand, Zaccheus Baker; daughters-in-law, Mary Mary Ann Oliver and Ella Ripley; granddaughter-in-law, Pastor Jewell Baker; a very good friend/employer, Linda Edwards; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
