Life Story for Anthony C Ford

Anthony C Ford
Mr. Anthony Craig Ford was born February 17, 1959, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Georgia Mae Bryant and Bernard Ford, one of three children. He was reared in a loving home, and was baptized as a child in First Corinth Baptist Church, where the family worshiped. Anthony, who was called “Hub Cap” by his friends, attended the local public schools and graduated from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1977. During his senior high years, he played with the Raines Vikings football team.

Upon graduation, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Stephanie Pfister, and they settled in New Jersey with their four children. After many years in New Jersey, Anthony returned to Jacksonville in 2012. He was always a lover of sports, but his favorite pastime was fishing, and he enjoyed eating whatever he was fortunate to catch that day.

On January 14, 2017, after an extended illness, Anthony C. Ford bade this world farewell, and made the journey to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Pfister Ford; mother, Mrs. Georgia Mae Hightower; father, Mr. Bernard Ford; grandfather, Mr. Walter George Bryant; and great grandmother, Mrs. Mary H. English.

Anthony is survived by his four children, Muriel Ford, Jonathan Ford, Tiffany Jackson, and Kevin Ford, all of Colorado Springs, CO; one son-in-law; seven grandchildren; loving grandmother, Mrs. Bernice Duhart; siblings, Sharon Denise Bryant and Kevin Vance Bryant, Atlanta, GA; like a father, Mr. Wallace Anderson and family; five great aunts, Mrs. Williene Bryant Briedlove, Cordele, GA, Mrs. Ovita Thornton (Willie), Athens, GA, Mrs. Eva Spivey, Mrs. Bernice Brown and Mrs. Frankie Parker, all of Philadelphia, PA; a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends, to include Angela Taylor, Frances Lynch, and blood brother, Alfonso James.

“I was so tired. At last, I’m free and at rest.”
