Obituary for Anthony B Person

Anthony Bernard Person, Jr., was born on October 17, 1990, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Anthony Sr. and Angela B. Person. He attended the local public schools, graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School in 2009. Anthony, affectionately known as “Amp,” was active in youth sports through the Police Athletic League (PAL) and at the schools that he attended. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America. Anthony furthered his education at Florida Junior College at Jacksonville (FCCJ) where he earned his Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Anthony accepted Christ very early in life, joining Dayspring Baptist Church. He later joined New Bethel AME Church, where he was an active member. Upon marriage to his beloved wife, Shautavia, he joined with her at The Sanctuary @ Mt. Calvary.
A kindhearted and gentle soul, Anthony was a devoted husband and father, one who cherished his family and family times together. An avid fisherman and cook, he will be remembered as the life of the party who enjoyed making others laugh, who always had some kind words to say. He was indeed a true delight.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, Anthony made his heavenly transition to forever dwell in his new home not made with hands. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving wife, Shautavia Tranita Person; daughters, Aniyah Person and TyShai Maple; grandmother, Alfredia O. Bullard; brother, Karim Bullard (Kennesha); sisters, Frenchy Bryant and Antoinette Person; mother and father-in-law, Tracy and Donald Shubert; aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends, to include Chester Johnson and Darius Lumpkins.
