Life Story for Bobbi Jean "Barbara" Hall

Ms. Bobbie Jean Hall was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 24, 1951, to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Amy Mae Butts Hall, Sr. She was raised in a home of love with her seven siblings. Barbara Jean, as she was affectionately called, attended Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she received Christ as her Savior and was baptized as a child under the pastorate of Rev. S.L. Badger, Sr. She served faithfully with the Usher Ministry until her health failed, and was a member of District 13, Dea. Johnie Burnett, Leader.

Education was acquired through the Duval County School System. An Associate of Arts degree in Child Care was later earned from FCCJ. Bobbie was employed for many years with Barnett Bank Collections, and later as a Teacher’s Aide with the Duval County School Board.

Sister Hall truly loved her family and also had a wealth of close friends who truly cared about her. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition and loving smile.

After a prolonged illness, Sister Bobbie Jean Hall was called by the Master on Thursday, July 20, 2017, to her new home in Glory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Amy Mae Butts Hall, Sr.; and brothers, Eddie Lee Hall and Willie Frank Hall.

Her memory will be cherished by her loved ones: sisters, Dorothy Gaskins, Hattie Hall and Betty Hall; brothers, Robert Hall, Jr. and James Hall (Bobby); sister-in-law, Bobbie Hall; special friends, to include Gloria Grier, Regina Hicks, Carol Roberts, Agnes Jenkins, Cecil Levy, Otis Lewis and Terry Harmon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and church family.

Good night, our beloved. We’ll see you in the morning.
