Life Story for Victoria Antornette Reed Proudme

Victoria Antornette Reed was born in the Autumn season of the year, on October 16, 1961, in Jacksonville, FL, to Lillie Pearl Reed and Alvin James Brown. Nourished in a loving home along with her five siblings, she accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She became a lifelong member of Jesus’ Name Assembly, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board.

Victoria, affectionately known as “Ten,” attended the local public schools, and graduated from William M. Raines High School with the Class of 1979. A true Viking, she also participated with the Raines Marching Band in the Flute Section. Victoria furthered her education at Florida A&M University, participated as a flautist with the Rattlers’ Marching 100, and earned an A.A. degree in Business.

She was employed in Tallahassee with the State of Florida Department of Revenue as an Estate Tax Specialist for 25 years. Victoria united in Holy Matrimony to Earnest Lee Proudme, Jr., on February 14, 1995, Valentine’s Day. They shared a life as one for almost 22 years until death parted them, but the love that they had for each still remains. They enjoyed many travels together throughout the country, but home and family were her first love.

Victoria finished her earthly race on Saturday morning, January 28, 2017, with the battle fought and the glorious victory won. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Lillie Pearl Kelley and Mr. Alvin James Brown.

Left to cherish the sweet essence that continues to envelop her family are her beloved husband, Earnest Lee Proudme, Jr.; her precious children, Aasha Tinson, Earnest Phillip Proudme and Lotasha Dennis (Garrett); grandchildren, Denaysia Williams, Jordan Bass, Garrett Dennis and Samantha Dennis; siblings, Barry
